100% Fee Waiver Scheme for Female Students
In a historic move, the Maharashtra government has announced a 100% fee waiver scheme for female students pursuing higher education in the state. This scheme applies to 662 higher education courses, making it a massive opportunity for girls and women to pursue their academic dreams without financial burden.
Streams Covered Under this Scheme:
1. Medical Education
2. Technical Education
3. Pharmaceuticals
4. Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Dairy Development and Fisheries
Colleges Covered Under this Scheme:
1. All Government and Government-Aided Colleges of Maharashtra
2. All Private Colleges of Maharashtra (except Deemed Private Colleges and Vedanta Medical College)
3. All Minority Colleges of Maharashtra
Eligibility Criteria:
1. All female candidates who are domiciles of Maharashtra, belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Economically Backward Class (EBC), with a family income of less than ₹8 lakhs per year.
2. Students admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP), excluding management quota and institution-level admissions.
Those Who are Not Eligible:
1. Annual income more than ₹8,00,000
2. Admission taken in other than Maharashtra State
3. Admission taken in Deemed Colleges
Documents Required:
1. SSC Mark Sheet and onwards
2. Student Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra State
3. Family Annual Income Certificate (income must be less than ₹8 lakhs)
4. Admission Fee Receipt
5. CAP Allotment Letter/Receipt Cum Acknowledgement
6. Caste Certificate

1. Are previous year students eligible for the 100% fee waiver scheme?
Answer: Yes, they are eligible.
2. I have taken admission through institute-level seats. Am I eligible to apply for the scheme?
Answer: No, only candidates who have taken admission through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) are eligible.
3. I have taken admission outside Maharashtra State. Can I apply for this scheme?
Answer: No, not eligible for the scheme.
4. Can students from deemed universities or private universities like Vedanta College apply for the scheme?
Answer: No, only candidates admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) through state counseling are eligible to apply for the scheme.
