What it is About?
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy is a 4-5 year long undergraduate course. It produces efficient Physiotherapists who develops the skills that can help the physically or mentally challenged people enjoy their everyday life. Occupational Therapy is the branch of science of prevent, cure and rehabilitation of the physically, emotionally, mentally and neurological disabled and challenged people. In this one adapt the environment according to the patient, and teaching and educating them in the necessary skills needed in performing daily activities. This occupational therapy arose around 100 BC in back of centuries by a Greek physician named “Asclepiads”. With the help of music, massage, exercise, and therapeutic bath, Asclepiads treated the mentally impaired . During 18th and 19th century, it has been used in some country as the assessment for the mental students. It has been flagged in the 20th century as the domain occupational therapy.
Eligibility criteria for Bachelor of Occupational Therapy admission.
- 10+2, completed from a recognized educational Board.
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics as the main subjects of study at the 10+2 level.
- A minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the level of graduation.
- Candidates appearing for their final 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply for the course on provisional basis.
