Armed Force Medical College (AFMC) MBBS Admission Process.


 Armed Force Medical College -AFMC is one the best Medical college in India, every Medical aspirant dream to study MBBS in AFMC.

The selection process is one of a kind in India. There are three-step selection process for admission into AFMC.

Step1- Application process.

• AFMC MBBS admission is on the basis of NEET score ,Candidates must registered with an option that they are willing to take part in AFMS Counseling in All India Admission process on mcc.nic.in website and the list of such candidates will be sent to AFMS Authorities, on a stipulated date candidates shortlisted will be called for screening.
• Approximately 1750 candidates (1170 boys and 580 girls) will be called for the screening.
• The basis of shortlisting will be rank/score obtained in NEET

Step2- Screening process.

• Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR), Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), Interview and Medical Examination to be held at AFMC, Pune.
• Test of English Language comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR) will be in the form of Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 40 MCQs of 2.0 marks each amounting to a maximum of 80 marks .
• There will be negative marks of 0.5 for every incorrect answer.
• These 40 questions will be required to be answered in 30 minutes.
• The marks obtained in ToELR will be added to NEET score (max of 720) to get a score out of 800. This will be divided by 4 to get the written examination score out of 200.
• The interview will consist of 50 marks.
• The final merit will be based on the Final score thus obtained
(Written examination score + Interview marks).
• On the basis of the NEET-UG score and screening at AFMC, two merit lists, one for boys(BM) and one for girls(GM), will be drawn up.

Step 3- Medical Examination.

• Will be carried out by a Board of Officers at AFMC Pune, prior to admission to the College.
• Medical Board will categorize the candidates as Fit and Unfit, in accordance with the prescribed standards.
• For medical examination certain physical requirements have been put by AFMC which must be checked.

Total seats in AFMC- 150.
117 boys & 28 girls
5 seats are for Govt. sponsored candidates from Friendly Foreign Countries(NEET Qualified).
10 seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates

Board Exam Eligibility Criteria.
Candidates must have passed in the qualifying examination in the first attempt(No compartment) with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these three science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the tenth standard.

Last ranks admitted in AFMC in BM(boys) All India Rank 8793 NEET Marks 596 & GM (Girls) All India Rank 5673 NEET Marks 610.
