Open State for Post MBBS PG Admission.


The general rule of Post MBBS PG Admission is that 50% of total intake of Government colleges MD/MS/Diploma seats, 100% All India Deemed Medical Colleges MD/MS/Diploma seats, 100% of Central university MD/MS/Diploma seats & 100% Post MBBS DNB seats are filled from All India Counselling.
These seats are available to all the NEET PG qualified candidates. Any state candidates can take admission anywhere in India through All India Counselling. This process is conducted by the medical counselling committee https://mcc.nic.in
50% MD/MS/Diploma seats of Government Medical colleges & 100% of private Medical colleges MD/MS/Diploma seats are filled through respective states & these seats are available for those candidates who have  done MBBS from that particular state and/or is a domicile candidate.
However there are states which allow other state MBBS pass out & non-domicile candidates to apply in their state for private colleges MD/MS/Diploma Seats, these states are called Open State.
For taking Admission in these states Colleges Post MBBS Seats one has to apply for that particular state Counselling process.
Please Note : Candidates are eligible only for private colleges & are not eligible for government college seats  & government quota seats in private colleges.

Following mentioned are few of the Open States for PG counselling.
1 - Andhra Pradesh : Candidates are eligible for only management quota seats in private colleges (fees range 11 to 18 lakhs per year depending on branch & college).
2 - Telangana : Candidates are eligible for management quota (category 1) seats in private colleges (fees range 15 to 25 lakhs per year depending on branch & college)
3 - Karnataka :  Candidates eligible for both open category and management quota (Q Category) seats (fees range for open quota seats 8 to 30 lakhs & for management category seats 30 to 75 lakhs depending on branch & college).
4 - Rajasthan : Candidates eligible for open quota seats (fees range 20 to 35 lakhs depending on branch & college).
5 - Haryana : Candidates eligible for management quota seats (fees range 20 to 30 lakhs depending on branch & college).
6- Uttar Pradesh : Candidates eligible for open quota seats (fees range 15 to 28 lakhs depending on branch & college).
7- West Bengal : Candidates eligible for management quota seats (fees range 15 to 35 lakhs depending on branch & college).
8 - Pondicherry : Candidates eligible for management quota seats (fees range 15 to 35 lakhs depending on branch & college).
