Post Graduations MD, MS & Diploma Medical Seats in India.
As informed by the Ministry of Health and Family welfare & National Medical Commission (NMC) there are 38,317 Post graduations MD/MS & Diploma seats are in India.
There are a total number of 24597 MD, 12798 MS & 922 PG Diploma seats in the country taking the grand total to 38,317 PG seats of which 26711 are in the GMCs and 16009 are in Private institutions.
Karnataka has the highest number of PG medical seats 5002 across the country with 1,171 belonging to Government institutes and 3,831 seats at Private institutions.
Apart from Karnataka, Maharashtra have highest number of government PG seats 2,549
