Infrastructure

The school has a well-designed building for teaching, administrative and hospital purposes. It has a rich logistics infrastructure to provide the best teaching and learning environment. Indoor and outdoor sports buildings ensure good health for students and staff.

The hospital was designed to function as needed, in accordance with the standards of the Medical Council of India and the University of Health Sciences Rajiv Gandhi. There is no stone left to recruit and motivate teaching and non-teaching staff, both in college and in the hospital.

Basaveshwara Medical College residential and hostel complex was built on more than 47,000 sqm on campus. This complex has separate shelter facilities for boys and girls. These have free Wi-Fi and offer comfortable accommodation with separate reading rooms and TV rooms.

There are 245 rooms available in the UG section with well-equipped, air-conditioned facilities. These hostels have good dining facilities with hygienic food and comfortable dining areas. It has separated a 56 room PG hostel and the generators guarantee an uninterrupted power supply.

Separate departments for trainees and nurses have been set up, and teaching and non-school staff have their own campus apartments. Nurses and interns are available in 140 rooms. Students are monitored by shelter guards. Total student safety is monitored and ratified by the gender harassment committee. Basaveshwara Medical School Hospital is situated at Chitradurga city in Karnataka State and 200 km from the state capital of Bengaluru. The city also known locally as Durga which is located in the valley of the Vedavati River, in the middle of the Indian state of Karnataka.
