Infrastructure

The Institute is started by the Government of Karnataka with the intent of serving the people of under-developed border district of Karnataka. This institute has an affiliated hospital at B.Rachaiah Double Road in the centre of the Chamarajanagar town for the benefit of the patients.

The Chamarajanagar medical college is spread over with 42 acres of Land at Yadapura Village in Chamarajanagar taluk. It consists of the college academic buildings, hostels for both boys and girls, library, auditorium, exam halls, lecture halls, mess & canteen, hospital buildings and the other facilities also.

These are the facilities available in the college campus such as 1 auditorium cum like examination hall with the area of 1200 sq.mt, it has 500 seating capacity at the ground level. It has been equipped with all kind of facilities like CCTV, audio-visual aids, computer with internet-connected facilities, and furniture like tables & chairs also. There are 2 lecture halls available in the hospital building with 100 seating capacity.

Libary

The Chamarajanagar Medical College has an air-conditioned library with the area of 2,400 sq.mt. This library has 5,000 number of books, 28 Indian journals, and 12 foreign journals. It contains 2 separate reading rooms for both staff & students with the seating capacity of 160 persons.

The library offers 40 computers for the benefit of the students and it provides digital library also. The library working hours are 8.00 am to 9.00 pm at all working days of the college.

Hostel

Chamarajanagar medical college hostels are situated inside the college campus. The hostel rooms are available on the basis of sharing. There are 4 hostels available for both boys & girls separately. The hostel can accommodate nearly 600 students. These hostels are protected by male and female wardens.

The CMC hostel has a separate study room with the availability of computers and internet connections. Hostel rooms are well furnished with comfortable beds, cupboards, bathrooms attached and toilet facilities.

Other facilities in the hostel include R.O purified drinking water and two-wheeler parking also. Also, it has a recreation room with television, Indoor-outdoor games also available for the benefit of the students. It provides a mess with the dining hall and canteen facilities.
