Father Muller Medical College is a unit of Father Müller’s charitable institutions (FMCI), founded by Father Augustus Muller in 1880, and is one of the oldest and most established teaching hospital networks in Mangalore.

Infrastructure
Father Muller Medical College Located about one kilometer from the National Highway-17, Mumbai-Mangalore Highway in Kankanady in Mangalore, it is famous for being one of Bangalore’s oldest hospitals.
This Medical College campus has built up in an area of more than 93,000 sqm. College buildings are built in more than 48,000 sqm area with separate Hostel and residential complex blocks. Separate Hospital buildings are available in 45,000sqm with OPD blocks.
Library
The Father Muller Central Library began operations in 1985 at the Block Facility of the Faculty of Homeopathic Medicine. The Central Library was moved to the Mother and Child Health Block at Father Muller General Hospital, with all modern facilities on January 29, 2000.
The institution’s long-term dream was to have an independent building; In this way, a new building called the “Knowledge Center” with the latest facilities was opened on June 16, 2011. This library was built on an area of 3195 sqm.
The four-story complex consists of the Central Library with postgraduate and undergraduate sections. Reading rooms available inside and outside for up to 400 people. There are 20,017 books and 159 Journals, e-Library and two spacious ultra-modern conference rooms.
Hostel
Father Muller Medical College Hostel is a campus residential complex with over 30,600 sqm of living space. Separate shelters for women and men are available on the student campus. Hostels offer spacious rooms and a peaceful environment conducive to the development of mind and body.
There are 142 rooms for boys, including 300 accommodation, with comfortable bedding, toilet, and water. Girls Hostel has 307 rooms and over 600 accommodation facilities.
Separate PG hostel is available as boys hostel has 133 rooms with single and double accommodation facilities, PG girls hostel has 140 rooms with all facilities. It has separate Interns and Nurses Hostel also available with a totally of 335 rooms with all sorts of facilities.
Separate residential blocks are available for teaching and non-teaching staff. These hostels have separate study rooms with computers and internet facilities and recreation rooms with indoor games and other facilities.

Father Muller Medical College is located in the city of Managalore in the southern state of Karnataka, about 352 km west of the state capital of Bangalore. The college is located 8 km from the city of Mangalore and is one of the main cities of Karnataka as it is well connected to other regions by all transport networks.
Since the college is located within a city and has a distance of 4Km from the main bus terminal and has frequent transportation service to the college such as buses and taxis for around a clock.
Mangalore has a railroad crossing which is good connectivity with the other part of the state and with the country, located 2.6 km from the college with a 10 minute journey. In addition, Mangalore International Airport is the closest airport located 14 km from the college with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes.
