Infrastructure

Gadag Institute of Medical Sciences is spread over 54 acres of land, in the premises of District Hospital at Gadag. This Medical College building covers 51,000 sq m. of the area. This has well structured building well good ventilated facilities.

Two Examination halls available here each with 250 capacity. The institute is fully equipped with Laboratories, Museums, Auditorium. There are 6 Lecture Halls available, 5 lecture halls situated in college each with 180 seating capacity and one in hospital with 200 capacity.

There is 302 well educated Teaching Faculty are available.This College has separated common rooms for boys and girls each with 160sqm and attached toilet.

Libary

Gadag Institute of Medical Sciences Medical College Central Library spreading over 2400sqm. It has 5513 books and 28 Indian,12 foreign journals. This Library provides a wide collection of medical literature including Books, Reference Sources, CD, DVDs, Journals and pamphlets to the faculty and medical students.

This library has 600 seating capacity. Digital library is being constructed with the facility of computers and internet access to the medical fraternity and the students, and other facilities of E-learning resources like e-Journals, e-books etc will be made available for the students. This library has separated rooms for staffs and students. It’s working 24 hours every day.

Hostel

Gadag Institute of Medical Sciences Medical College has fully equipped separate Hostels for male and female students. This Hostel was well constructed with comfortable bedding arrangement and well-ventilated system, Semi furnished rooms with adequate light and ventilation.

Boys hostel has 90 rooms and girls hostel has 90 rooms.These hostels have 24 hours of water supply and well-maintained drinking water supply. Recreation facilities, visitor room, Airconditioned and computer with internet facilities are available. Students have got their foods from the hygienic kitchen with comfortable Dining system.

This hostel is also managing parking system for two wheelers and four wheelers. Students are continuously monitored by Hostel Wardens.

From Gadag Junction to this institute there is 9.1km through Mulgund Rd. From this institute to Hubballi Airport, Hubballi has 62.3 km through NH67 to Gokul Rd in Kallur Layout and Gandhi Nagar.
