Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College & Hospital - Sangli is a Deemed MBBS Medical College was established in 2005 the College is affiliated with Bharati Vidyapeeth University - Pune with total intact of 150 MBBS & 67 Post MBBS MD/MS/ Diploma seats.
In 1996, Bharati Vidyapeeth University was recognized as a deemed university for its excellence of Academy. The functioning of all the departments of Bharati Vidyapeeth is designed and facilitates the fulfillment of their commitments.
Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Sangli was established in the year 2005 with an intake of 100 M.B.B.S. seats per year. Now, 150 MBBS seats are admitted per year. It also provides Postgraduate Courses with 47 seats for 17 different departments per year.

The college is located in a 2.5 lakh sq ft multi-stored with a well-ventilated and spacious building. The institute is well equipped with laboratories and art museums and has become a hub for academic excellence.

Libary
The Medical College hospital has a central library building separately. Central Library is the heart of the college library, with its unique quiet reading environment with high-quality lighting and ventilation, which enjoys an effective advisory board.
The library has the books required for UG, M.sc, PG, and Ph.D. courses learning and teaching books are purchased. The Central Library of the Medical College is housed in a separate building with an area of 3115 square meters.
The library has separate compartments, bookcase stacking, reference, computer lab with internet facility, separate reading area for magazines/timelines, UG, PG, and Staff, and an audio-visual room. The library contains all the necessary textbooks, reference books, national and international journals, e-magazines, and educational CDs and DVDs.
Hostel
This institution provides comfortable accommodation for students as well as residential accommodation for teaching staff. There is Sufficient accommodations are available for resident medical staff, interns & nursing staff.
A generator back-up facility is also available. There are 7 Hostels available within the campus for both boys and girls. It provides full safety equipment like CCTV cameras. BVMC hostel has 3 mess with hygienic and safe food and also it has 2 cafeterias that provide snacks, tea, and cool drinks, etc.

Sangli is one of the cities in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is also known as the Turmeric City of Maharashtra due to its spice production and trade. Sangli is located on the banks of the Krishna River and has Several sugar Factories.
Sangli is a major city in western India which is located 390 km from Mumbai, 240 km (150 miles) from Pune, and 700 km (430 miles) from Bangalore. Sangli is known for its Turmeric trade, grapes, and a large number of sugar mills in India.
