Infrastructure

The College building is an architectural masterpiece in itself! It has a mural of Lord Dhanvantari on its facade and a magnificent fiberglass dome, which can be seen from miles around. The Institute is also known for its state-of-the-art facilities that are in tune with the best in the world.

The efforts put in by the faculty, availability of world-class facilities, infrastructure like spacious A/c lecture theatres, well-equipped museums, practical laboratories, and well-stocked library has set this Institute apart from others.

Besides regular lectures and practicals, the College gives importance to research. Several research proposals of faculty members and students have been approved and has been funded by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), DST and the Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune.

The College has more than 2000 bedded well-equipped hospital, that is backed by the Research Centre. It has 175 Intensive Care beds, 26 futuristic Operating Theatres by Maquet and Dragger with advanced technology, 80 specialized outpatient consultation suites, 4th generation Da Vinci xi Robot for Robotic Surgery, Twin Cath Lab, 3 CT Scan machines (128 slice, 16 slice and dual slice), 3 MRI machines (0.2, 1.5Tesla and 3Tesla), Digital X-rays, Digital mammography, Ultra-Sonography, Colour Doppler, PACS, DSA system, DR System, sophisticated laboratories, multi organ transplant unit, liver intensive care unit, sophisticated instruments for therapeutics management, etc.

Libary

The Library has a mixed collection of both print and electronic format, which include books, journals, databases, CDs/DVDs, e-journals, reports, research books, etc. The college has an excellent central library facility. It has a total floor area of 4500 sq. meter, with a provision for a separate reading room for the teaching staff and spacious reading halls to accommodate over 750 students.

The total collection of the library is more than 24,840 volumes. The Library subscribes to most of the National and International Journals required for the undergraduate and post-graduate students and faculty. Apart from 2047 online journals, in addition to the central library facility, each Department has its own Departmental Library.

The Reading Room of the central library is kept open from 7 a.m. to midnight for the students to use it according to their convenience, need and habit. Facility of a Cafeteria has also been provided. The central library has been provided with Wi-Fi internet facility and students and the faculty has open access to this facility. As the College and hostels are 'Wi-Fi' enabled, the students can access information from any point anywhere.

Hostel

The college has three well-furnished, self-contained hostels on the campus. The hostel rooms are airy. Round the clock security is provided. There is a cafeteria attached to each hostel. The mess facility is also provided to hostilities.

The hostels have reading rooms, recreational areas with T.V. and indoor game facilities such as carom, table tennis, etc. The hostels have a well-equipped gym under the supervision of a physical trainer. All hostels are fully Wi-Fi enabled with high-speed internet connectivity.
