Dr. Ulhas Patil Medical College and Hospital, Jalgaon is a full-fledged medical college in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. The college imparts the degree Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). It is recognised by the Medical Council of India. Selection to the college is done on the basis of merit through the National Eligibility and Entrance Test.
Dr. Ulhas Patil Medical College & Hospital (DUPMC) was started by Godavari Foundation in 2008 to impart quality education in the field of Medical Science. This is one of the flagship institutions of the Godavari Foundation. It started functioning from the academic year 2008-09. The College is recognized by Medical Council of India & is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik.
It is the first medical college to be located in Jalgaon District & is spread over an area of Over 33 acres. The Present Premise comprises of College Building, Teaching Hospital Building of 500 Bed Capacity, Staff Quarters, Separate Hostels for Boys & Girls, Play Ground, Library, Canteen & other amenities.
Each Department consists of a well qualified staff, well equipped Practical 7 Research Laboratories, well set up Museums with catalogues, Dissection Hall of Anatomy Department & Demonstration Room. College also has 4 Lecture Halls with required Audio-Visual facilities. A resourceful Central Library including E-Library too is open 24*7 for Staff & Students. The Various Special features of the institute make it a Quality Institute.
A Core team of experienced and qualified faculty bears the responsibility to impart knowledge to aspiring students in DUPMC. Interaction with eminent personalities of the Medical Field is a continuous activity at the DUPMC. A Central Library with various books and national and international journals is situated in College Building. In addition separate departmental library with books relating to respective departments. E- library is active with internet & Wi-fi Enabled. The DUPMC maintains a well stocked library with more than 10000 volumes of text and reference books, periodicals and Daily News papers.
Students have access to lending library, reference library and a vast treasure of current and back volumes of Journals.The access to library has been made easier. The DUPMC library provides open access system to students & faculty members, which enables them to make optimum utilization of the collection available in the library. For every student, 'Library Cards' are provided for academic performance.
How to reach
Jalgaon is on the main line track of central railway. It is just 22 km away from Bhusawal Junction & 170 km away from Manmad Junction of Central Railway. It is Just 3.00 hours from Nasik Road station & 6.00 hours from Mumbai. With any train of Central Railway either express or passenger you can reach safely at Jalgaon on it's scheduled time.
Jalgaon is banked on National Highway No.6 Surat-Kolkata & State Highway Nagpur-Mumbai. It is on the main road network of state as well as National Highways. It is 140 km away from Aurangabad & 90 km from Dhule & 250 km from Nasik. With the help of Maharashtra Rajya Parivahan Mandal you can choose appropriate bus to reach at Jalgaon.
