Infrastructure

Government Medical College of Latur has spread over 53 acres of land, with the college campus and Hospital buildings. The New College and Hospital buildings were constructed with the latest OT design, the old building was expanded with 13 acres to accommodate pre and para clinical departments. These Medical College departments are having separated labs and museums and libraries with comfortable reading rooms.

The departments are available with needed equipment and halls. Separated demo rooms and common rooms for male and female students. Separated conference halls and seminar halls are available for each department. Anatomy department with Research Lab of 64.24 Sq.Mtr, Dissection Hall with 255 Sq.Mtr, Histology Lab with 161.28 Sq.Mtr available and Museum with 155 Sq.Mtr, has a Specimen of 230 and Embryology Model 89. Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department Museum available with 150 Sq.mt. with specimens of 28 and Charts/ Diagrams of 25. All departments are equipped with needed amenities.

Libary

Central Library of GMC Latur has 2400 Sq.mt area and separated Reading Rooms for boys and girls students, Book Bank. E section with Computer Facilities and Internet With Brad Bond Facility, Medlar Facility, T.V., V.C.R., Xerox, and Microfilm Reading facility. The Anatomy department library is available with 31.24 Sq Mtr. and totally has 108 books.

The ophthalmology department library has a total of Books 105 and journals 110.The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Departmental Library has 100 books and 67 journals. Microbiology Departmental Library with more than 100 books and journals.

Hostel

GMC, Latur has well-structured accommodation facilities for Students and faculties and staff. There are separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The boys hostel has a total of 124 rooms available with a capacity of 2 students, approximately 240 students can accommodate them here. A separate warden office available and a Guest Room is available with all facilities. The Study Room is available with all facilities.

Separated seating room for parents and recreation rooms with TV and internet facilities. Mess, Canteen available with storeroom and comfortable dining facilities. This Government Medical College’s Girls Hostel has a total of 128 rooms available with a capacity of 2 students, approximately more than 250 students can accommodate here. This Hostel also has all facilities as a boys hostel.

These hostels have Gymnasium and Indoor and outdoor games facilities and playgrounds. This Medical College provides separate residential facilities for Teaching and non-teaching staff.
