The MGM Medical College & Hospital building is an architectural masterpiece It has a large statue of Mahatma Gandhi at entry point and a magnificent fiberglass work that can be seen from miles around. The Institute is also known for its state of art facilities matchable with the best in the world. Well equipped clinical & non clinical departments, Central library for students, Mahagami sangeet academy, Radio station, state of art media laboratory, Sports complex, Autism center, Swimming pool…etc.
The efforts put in by the trusty, faculty, availability of world-class facilities, infrastructure like spacious A/c lecture halls, conference halls, seminar halls, well-equipped museums, practical laboratories, and well-stocked library has set this Institute apart from others.
The College has a 1000 bedded well-equipped hospital. It has 82 Intensive Care beds, 13 futuristic Operating Theatres with advanced technology, specialized outpatient consultation suites, 3 CT Scan machines , 1 MRI machines , Digital X-rays, Digital mammography, Ultra-Sonography, Colour Doppler, PACS, DSA system, DR System, sophisticated laboratories, multi organ transplant unit, liver intensive care unit, sophisticated instruments for therapeutics management, etc. MGM MCH provides primary, secondary and tertiary care as well as special care for the critically ill patient.

Introduction
Mahatma Gandhi College library caters the academic and research needs of all its users i.e. undergraduate students, post graduate students, researchers, faculties, nurses and other paramedical staff of MGM’s medical college.
There is an air-conditioned central library floor area 2400sq.m. with 300 students seating arrangement. Library is well ventilated and illuminated.
There is provision for:
1. Cabins for librarian and other staff.
2. Separate Faculty reading room for more than 40 readers at a time.
3. Journal room.
4. Photocopying facility.
5. Video and Cassette.
6. Discussion room for students.

The aim of medical library is to provide organized library services to need the information needs of its beneficiaries in their activities relating to patient care, education, research, management and any other specialized services.
